Clark Synthesis Presents – Underwater Splice Kit Installation Guide
When you need to splice a cable for underwater use, we have you covered.
Splicing is easier than pulling new cable through the conduit.
Here’s how to make the splice:
Strip cable 1 outer jacket 3 inches (76 mm)
Strip cable 1 wire insulation 1/4 inch (6 mm)
Strip cable 2 outer jacket 1 ½ inches (38 mm)
Strip cable 2 wire insulation 1/4 inch (6 mm)
Place the large heat shrink tube over cable 1 and out of the way
Place the small heat shrink tube over the black wire from cable 1
Place the cable 1 black wire into the metal butt connector
Crimp the metal butt connector to secure the black wire
Insert the cable 2 negative wire into the metal butt connector
Crimp the metal butt connector to secure the negative wire
Move the small heat shrink tubing over the metal butt connector
Bend the other wires out of the way
Heat starting in the middle and move toward the edges
Place the small heat shrink tubing over the white wire from cable 1
Place the cable 1 white wire into the metal butt connector
Crimp the metal butt connector to secure the white wire
Insert the positive wire from cable 2 into the metal butt connector
Crimp the metal butt connector to secure the positive wire
Move the small heat shrink tubing over the metal butt connector
Heat starting in the middle and move toward the edges
Move the large heat shrink tubing over the splices. Keep centered between both cables.
Heat starting in the middle and move toward the edges
Install the new speaker and enjoy!
