Here is how to install the AQ339 Diluvioᵀᴹ Underwater Loudspeaker, with screen, in a large light niche.

Mounting Gasket

  1. Step 1: Install the Mounting Gasket

    Install the Mounting Gasket
    Carefully remove the speaker from its box. Install the mounting gasket around the rubber ring of the sound lens.
    Insure the mounting gasket is installed evenly and is firmly seated against the entire circumference of the sound lens.

     

     

     

     

  2. Step 2: Install the Stainless Steel Screen

    Carefully remove the rubber ring from the face ring screw. Save the rubber ring.
    Remove the screw from the face ring. Save the screw.
    Put on a pair of work gloves to avoid being cut by the screen’s sharp edges.
    Place the bottom of the screen into the face ring aligning the feet around the tab.
    Push the screen all the way into the face ring.
    Insert the screw through the face ring and screen. There is a screw hole in the screen.
    Carefully place the rubber ring onto the face ring screw.

     

     

  3. Step 3: Attach the Face Ring

    Place the speaker on a non-abrasive surface with the sound lens facing up. Slide the wire clamp over the sound lens.
    Set the face ring on the mounting gasket. Be sure each clamp is outside the mounting gasket.
    Hold the entire assembly together and flip it over. Carefully position the sound lens so it is centered over the face ring.
    Place the wire clamp into each clamp tab, verifying the nut and bolt adjuster is accessible when the clamp is placed into the tabs.

     

     

     

     

     

  4. Step 4: Tighten the Wire Clamp

    Tighten the wire clamp with a wrench and a Phillips screwdriver.
    Tighten completely. The wire clamp should be firmly seated in each clamp tab and the speaker should be secure.

     

     

     

     

     

     

  5. Step 5: Place the Speaker in the Niche

    Pull the speaker wire through the conduit hole in the back of the niche.
    For future access, leave 10 to 12 feet (3 to 3.5 meters) of speaker wire in the niche.
    Place the speaker inside the light niche. Carefully set the lock tab behind the receiving plate.

     

     

     

     

     

     

  6. Step 6: Secure the Face Ring to the Niche

    Align the bolt with the threaded hole. Attach the face ring to the niche by tightening the bolt.
    Connect the speaker to your audio system – and enjoy!
