Carefully remove the speaker from its box. Install the mounting gasket around the rubber ring of the sound lens. Insure the mounting gasket is installed evenly and is firmly seated against the entire circumference of the sound lens.
Step 2: Attach the face ring
Place the speaker on a non-abrasive surface with the sound lens facing up. Slide the wire clamp over the sound lens. Set the face ring on the mounting gasket. Be sure each clamp is outside the mounting gasket. Hold the entire assembly together and flip it over. Carefully position the sound lens so it is centered over the face ring. Place the wire clamp into each clamp tab, verifying the nut and bolt adjuster is accessible when the clamp is placed into the tabs.
Step 3: Tighten the wire clamp
Tighten the wire clamp with a wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. Tighten completely. The wire clamp should be firmly seated in each clamp tab and the speaker should be secure.
Step 4: Place the speaker in the niche
Pull the speaker wire through the conduit hole in the back of the niche. For future access, leave 10 to 12 feet (3 to 3.5 meters) of speaker wire in the niche. Place the speaker inside the light niche. Carefully set the lock tab behind the receiving plate.
Step 5: Secure the face ring to the niche
Align the bolt with the threaded hole. Attach the face ring to the niche by tightening the bolt. Connect the speaker to your audio system – and enjoy!
