HISTORY:
The origin of Clark Synthesis lies in one man’s desire to change the way people experience sound. Before the invention of transducers, the only way you could feel sound was to turn up a subwoofer loud enough to feel the bass as well as hear it. Lots of people did this (and still do) but the problem is, hearing damage or even hearing loss can occur when listening to music at high levels, especially for an extended period of time. The transducer was developed as a means to feel and experience sound without needing to turn up speaker volume, thus preventing any damage to their hearing. The transducer uses tactile sound technology to achieve this very special effect. (Please read Tactile Sound for more information).
PRODUCTS AND MARKETS:
Since 1994, Clark Synthesis has been manufacturing and selling full-frequency, full-fidelity Tactile Sound Transducers (TSTs) and selling them into the home theater, gaming, prosound, and military simulation markets. Clark Synthesis also developed an “all-weather” transducer that sells primarily into the deck and spa markets. Tactile sound technology is also applied to create a full-frequency underwater speaker, which is now sold and used in the pool industry and for synchronized swimming teams. In fact, Clark Synthesis is extremely proud to be the official sound system supplier for the United States Synchronized Swimming Team.
More recently, Clark Synthesis has added high-quality, weatherproof outdoor speakers to its product line, opening up the doors into the outdoor living and marine audio markets.
Clark Synthesis now offers three levels of transducers, differing only in levels of output, underwater pool speakers, and outdoor speakers. Focusing on quality, durability, and fidelity, Clark Synthesis products are considered high-end in any market and some products (the outdoor speakers) come with a lifetime warranty.
